Dolly – a new dance piece by OR/ELLER premieres at MDT on November 16

All life begins within the body, in that mysterious space between the first heartbeat and the first breath. In Dolly, OR/ELLER explores this profound moment of “coming into being” through the lens of three iconic figures – Dolly the sheep, Dolly Parton, and the classic doll Dolly.

Each of these Dollys reflects a different facet of creation: the clone, the artist, and the imagined. Through dance, Dolly questions the nature of originality, identity, and transformation. How do we define what it means to “become” in a world where life can be manufactured, reinvented, or dreamed into existence?

Performed by Madeleine Lindh, Anja Arnquist, and Sam Huczkowski, this piece moves with precision, grace, and curiosity. Join us for a performance that pushes the boundaries of dance and thought.
