Maria W Horns piece Dies Irae performed in Tallin

 Tallinn–Narva Music Week 2022 presents “Dies Irae” composed by Maria W Horn for Tallinn University of Technology Academic Female Choir on Thu May 5 at 19:00 at St. Catherine’s Church in Tallinn A performance of “Dies Irae” by acclaimed Swedish composer and avant-garde musician Maria W Horn by the author of the piece and Tallinn University of Technology Academic Female Choir in the St Catherine’s Church. The compositions of Maria W Horn are often based on minimalist structures, her music explores the inherent spectral properties of sound and their ability to transcend time and space, reality and dream. The main values ​​of the Tallinn University of Technology Academic Female Choir are the preservation and promotion of Estonian women’s singing and choral traditions. The principal conductors of the choir have won several national and international awards, are young and energetic Edmar Tuul and Karin Tuul.
